Michael arrived in Bucharest Tuesday and we received this email today from President Hill. Here are the pictures they sent.
Elder Abbott and Elder Hyatt
Dear Abbott Family,
Your wonderful son, now Elder Abbott, arrived Bucharest, Romania on Tuesday afternoon. We met him at the airport on a hot, muggy day. He seemed very excited to be here and we are definitely happy to have him with us.
This morning we visited Cismigiu Gardens, a beautiful park in the middle of Bucharest where, on February 9, 1990, Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve dedicated the land of Romania for the preaching of the Gospel. This afternoon, we assigned Elder Abbott to be companion to one of the most experienced and trusted missionaries we have: Elder Hyatt. They will be laboring in the city of Deva.
Attached is a photo of us with Elder Abbott in Cismigiu Gardens and a photo of him with Elder Hyatt. Thank you very much for sending your son to us. We will do all in our power to help him be successful as a representative of the Lord to the people of this wonderful country.
