Call me Vlad

Buenos Dias! (not Romanian)
This was a pretty good week all in all.  We had a baptism for D..., one of the other Elders' investigators.  He's super cool.  He is future leader material.  He's an officer in the Romanian military, and has already read a lot of Doctrine and Covenants and has started on History of the Church.  He's super into the church and he's going to be a super strong member.  It was cool too because President Bâldea, the Branch President, baptized and confirmed him.
Also this week we went to the park and drew the Plan of Salvation on the ground with chalk.  That was the first time I've done that since I was in Deva and it was really fun.  We talked to some really cool people and a few less cool people who told us they were going to call the police, but since we didn't do anything wrong we just told them they could call if they want and they ended up just leaving.  We talked to a really cool family, though, and we saw one of the members from our branch who just passed through the park for a walk and talked to us for a while.
Our investigators have for the most part taken a step backwards this week.  Elder B...'s mom and sister aren't going to get baptized before he leaves.  They don't want to rush it which is understandable and V... isn't sure the 5th is the best day for her, so we're going to meet with her tomorrow and see what's up with her.  Other than them, we don't really have investigators so we're hoping to be able to change that this week.
On the less serious side of things, earlier today we went to Cetatea Poienari, also named Cetatea Voda Negru (Castle of the Black King), because it's where Vlad Țepeș (also called Vlad the Impaler or Dracula) did his impaling, torturing, etc.  It wasn't that big of a castle but it was at the top of a mountain and took forever to get to and was cool when we got to the top.  They had exhibits to show Vlad's favorite methods of killing people, and then the castle, which was restored recently and was cool to walk around.  It was pretty cool and fun that we all got to go there.
So, it was a pretty good week, and I'm sure all of you had a pretty good week too!  So, I i love you all, and we'll talk next week!
With love, Elder Michael Abbott
