So this was another good week. We did some basketball contacting (playing basketball in our white shirts and ties with Romanians) which was fun. We got a few people who want to come to English classes and who want to play basketball again and actually like us now which is good. We also worked on our epic project some more and finally got some stuff established!
For our epic project we're going to work with the Red Cross here in Piteşti on their work collecting and distributing clothes and groceries to poor people. So what we're going to do is we're going to help them load up or collect clothes and groceries and stuff. Not super epic, I know, but it's a lot more epic than knocking on doors!
The other elders also asked for some help with their epic project which is having a giant fireside/conference this Sunday where President Bâldea, Fratele Negrici, and President Hill will speak about their lives and how they became and serve as members of the church. It's awesome because President Bâldea is the former leader of the Southern half of Romania in the Pentecostal church and Fratele Negrici is a former Orthodox Priest. So a lot of people know about them and who they are. We're helping them by putting up flyers and stuff to advertise it.
Also this week we'll be having zone conference for 2 days in Bucharest which will be awesome. This last week we celebrated Elder E...'s birthday which was fun and we also went to Câmpulung to visit a member named Mn... who lives there. He then showed up Sunday with his non-member wife to church! They came the whole 1 hour bus ride from where they live for church and then went back. It was awesome.
It was a good, fun week and we're looking forward to this next one a lot. I hope you all have a great day/week/life and I love you all!
Love, Elder Michael Abbott
